Team Ice Ice Baby - Playlist
Aug. 10th, 2019 11:33 pmAuthor's Note: The one thing that sets Yuri!!! On Ice apart from other animés is that all the skaters are inspired by real-life counterparts. For this Main Round, I decided to take inspiration from the skating programs that their real-life counterparts chose, and how each of them makes their home on the ice.

Unfortunately he didn't make it into the Grand Prix Finals in Yuri!!! On Ice, but Johnny Weir is one of America's top figure skaters, and an openly gay man. This is his exhibition skate programme in 2010, in which he has a lot of fun. Despite not being a main character in the show, he was kind enough to do an interview about it.
His excitement is shared by some other top figure skaters, for instance Ashley Wagner, the inspiration for Mila Babicheva. She is the 2016 World silver medalist, the 2012 Four Continents champion, a three-time Grand Prix Final medalist, and a three-time U.S. national champion.
